“On the Agenda!” Lobbying for Libraries

For several years German libraries have increasingly succeeded in gaining more understanding among politicians for their central role in the information society. The address of the then Federal President Horst Köhler at the re-opening of the Duchess Anna Amalia Library in Weimar is regarded as a milestone. But in spite of all the progress the path remains rocky.
